I never realizes how bad hurricanes were till I lived in Florida. These storms are no joke. I’ve seen winds pick up an entire roof and throw it a mile away. Then there are the tornadoes that come along with the storm. Rain, wind, temperature, floods, and storm surge. I’ve watched the ocean come ashore and cover an entire restaurant in water. These storms are not something to take lightly. This is my homage to the Hurricane.
Hurricane
Hurricane season had come again. Watching the news on the 9's waiting for the latest track, the latest computer generated spaghetti model ready to tell you with uncertainty where you fit in the cone of death. Wind is blowing harder 50-60 knots or thereabouts. The waves have kicked up The palm breezes swaying breaking off all the dead wood. Forecasts of storm surge of water spouts of tides and flooding. The rain starts in a mist the humidity rises and a layer of water is on your skin. Down pour deluge winds: 40, 50, 80, 90.... Helene Milton Katrina Andrew The names bring pictures of destruction devastation flooding plus foliage. trees inside houses and on top of cars. Water 4 feet up your drywall and all of your belongings and your cars are now floating by you and you're praying it doesn't get any higher. and you hope this won't raise your insurance. We are all making decisions While dealing with hurricane seasons.
